A total of 241 university students were recruited, and the top 25% of the students in their fourth year were divided into two groups: the top 25% of the students in the top group and the bottom 25% of the students in the bottom group. The number of class absences in each grade level was arbitrarily set and compared between the two groups. The number of class absences from the second year onward was related to the final grade of the student's final year of study.
