The study included 18 participants (three males and 15 females) with MME measurements ≤3 mm and no history of knee injury. MME was measured using an ultrasound imaging device by visualizing the medial meniscus on the long axis of the medial collateral ligament (MCL). Participants were placed in a one-leg standing position with the knee joint in extension to measure the muscle strength of the MME-measured limb. Knee extensor muscle strength was measured using a hand-held dynamometer. The KOOS was used to subjectively evaluate the knee joint. Statistical analysis was performed using Spearman's rank correlation coefficient to correlate knee extension muscle strength to MME and KOOS.\nOnly the pain item of the KOOS showed a weak correlation with MME. This suggests that knee extensor muscle strength does not correlate with KOOS in patients with MME ≤3 mm. Although mild pain exists, patients could maintain a relatively good
