The study specifically identified the effectiveness of the pad-attached orthotic insoles for the therapeutic activities. The study was conducted from April 2014 through March 2017 at Chiba Child and Adult Orthopedic Clinic （Rehabilitation Group）. The design of the study was categorized into three anatomical regions, which were 10 knee cases, 12 ankle/lower leg cases and 18 foot cases. The therapeutic outcomes were expressed as “improvement” or “disappearance” of the symptoms. The 70% （16 cases） of the knee cases showed positive results. The 91.2%（ 4 cases） of the ankle / lower leg symptoms were diminished. The 83.3% （14 cases） of the foot cases were improved. Disorders often seen were osteoarthritis of the knee （4/7 cases）, ankle sprain （5/6 cases）, shin splints （4/4 cases） and painful accessory navicular （4/4 cases）. The Kellgren Lawrence classification Grade 0 and 1 seemed to suggest that the use of the orthotic insoles in the knee arthritis was indicated.
