Subjects who agreed to participate in this investigation, were ninety-two persons of 92 third year students completed courses of elderly nursing practice. After the hospital practice and the elderly facilities practice, the students had a selfassessment with regards practice goal attainment which was divided into four scales from “completely achieved” to “totally non-achieved,” based on essential points of elderly nursing practice, and for the satisfaction level which was divided into four scales from “very satisfied” to “totally dissatisfied”. The results showed differences in attainment of each practice goal, and revealed the existence of high goals attainment and low goals attainment. Also, practice satisfaction levels were generally high however they showed slight differences in the hospital practice and the facilities practice. Three years have passed since the beginning of elderly nursing practice in the Department of Nursing at Ryotokuji University, and we should revise and evaluate for practice objectives and practice methods.
