The subjects were fourth-year 73 students of a nursing department. The content that appeared to be challenges were, extracted, from their pre-practice reports and their final conference documents, and subjected to content analysis. Five categories were induced from the pre-practice report: understanding of nursing management, the importance of team work in nursing and medical care, challenges to be in charge of more than one patient at the same time, an ideal image of a nurse, the self- improvement as a nursing student. Seven categories were induced from the final conference documents: understanding of nursing management in a hospital, nursing practice to maintain and improve the care of a quality by teamwork, clinical practice based on the process of nursing deployment, nursing practice to respond to the trust and relationship centered on patients, nursing practice that corresponds to the situation change, the efficient time management skills, a nurse image by recogning the professional roles and responsibilities.  The final conference documents contain twice as many codes as the pre-practice reports.
