Twenty-five young male adults participated. The participants were randomly assigned to two groups (novel model observation group and skilled model observation group). At first, the participants’ iron rotation performance on the left hand (time required for 10 rotations and number of dropping) was measured. The novel model observation group observed a novel model of iron rotation that a model parson practiced for only 20 minutes on his left hand. On the other hand, the skilled model observation group observed a skilled model of the iron rotation that the model parson practiced for 10 consecutive days (10 minutes per day). After the observation, the participants’ iron rotation performance was measured again. This procedure was repeated 3 times to determine motor learning process. Results showed that, for time required for 10 rotations, the novel model observation group significantly performed quicker than the skilled model observation group in all post observation. Such difference was not obtained in number of dropping.
