In the exercise a cylinder cast shorter than usual was utilized. The patient was a 61-year-old female and had pain and swelling in her right elbow. X-rays showed she had a radial head fracture and was treated with a short arm cylinder cast. The short arm cylinder cast was applied for twenty one days to restrict the movements of flexion and extension at the elbow but to encourage supination and pronation movements.
