Secondly, NRW promotes sexual and gender diversity education in school and\nsocial education in cooperation with the Ministry of Schools and Education and LGBTIQ+ party organizations.\n The structure of this paper is as follows. The sections 1 and 2 provide an overview of the situation with regard\nto sexual and gender diversity in the German Confederation as a whole. Section 3 onwards examines the situation\nand characteristics surrounding sexual and gender diversity education in the NRW, focusing on the sexual education\nguidelines, the curriculum (Lehrplan) and biology schoolbooks, as well as researching at the initiatives of LGBTIQ+\nparty organizations.
