The trip was scheduled on 7 days from Sunday, March 18th to Saturday, March 24th. This trip included observation and friendly exchange of both clinical and educational environments. What we experienced there inspired us to commit the continuous quality improvement of our profession.  Furthermore, we have observed several advanced therapeutic techniques.  For example, we saw a functional electrical stimulation of weight supported gait exercise for spinal cord injured or stroke patients at Brooks Rehabilitation Hospital; we then observed a pelvic floor muscle bio-feedback exercise for urinary incontinence and an Iontophoresis for pain relief at Mayo Clinic. We also had an insightful and occasionally humorous time for questions and answers with the 4th year UNF students about differences between the United States and Japanese physical therapy educational systems.
