Hiroaki Hiraoka won the first silver medal in 60 kg category for the Ryotokuji Judo Team and Tomoko Fukumi placed fifth in 48 kg category.  Japanese Judo team took one gold, three silver, and three bronze medals in total. This result was very severe for the Japanese Judo.
