Especially, it is thought that sleeping time insufficient and not eating breakfast affects negatively at the school life.\nObjective & Method: We examined the relation among sleeping habits, the meal custom, scholastic ability, and the willingness to learn, for the present study of 199 people every the fifth grader in the elementary school. We researched the relation between sleeping habits in the early childhood and sleeping habits of the fifth grader in the elementary school.\nResults: Kruskal-Wallis test suggested following things. The score of the calculation test of the person who slept in average bedtime was higher than that of the person who slept early. Second, the meal custom of the person of average bedtime was more regular than that of the person with slow bedtime. The score of the spelling test and the meal custom on a person average sleeping time were higher than those on the person with short sleeping time. Also, the score of the calculation test of a person average sleeping time was higher than that of the person with long sleeping time. Spearman’s rank order correlation coefficient suggested following things. The correlation was seen between the meal custom, the score of the spelling test, and the willingness to learn. Second, the correlation was seen between the score of the willingness to learn and the spelling test and scores of the calculation test. Also, the bedtime in the early childhood was early and even the grade-schooler was early bedtime.\nDiscussion: We think that average bedtime and sleeping time make the meal custom regular, and have improved scholastic ability and the willingness to learn.
