The report was about the progress after one year of its introduction. The nursing care robot suits were used by three staff members in a facility. The period of time required to be able to operate the robot was considerable. In addition, the staff members spent totally 24 hours for actual nursing care. In order to increase the frequency of the robot suits use, the suits operation needed to be simple and more staff numbers were given training to operate the suits skillfully. Moreover, the study identified that the suits would be useful only if the utilization purpose were specific and appropriate. To increase the utilization of the suits at the nursing facility, creating a new work structure might be required. Within the year of use of the suits, a change in operation during transfer assistance was recognized. The staff became used to operating the suits and the characteristics of the wearable robot HAL® were identified.
